What is the promotion?

As part of the ongoing effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 throughout the commonwealth, the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet will offer in-state travel incentives at Kentucky State Parks for Kentuckians who have received the COVID-19 vaccination.

Kentuckians 18 years old and older who have received at least their first dose of a Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, may enter to win one of 30 drawings for a Kentucky safe-cation at one of 45 state parks. Safe-cations gift certificates will include golf rounds, and overnight lodging and campground stays at Kentucky State Parks . Gift certificates limited to one (1) per winner. Blackout dates may apply.

Who is eligible to enter the drawing?

Permanent residents of Kentucky who have received at least the first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines or the one dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. Permanent residents of Kentucky are eligible even if they received the vaccine in a different state.

Who is not eligible to enter the drawing?

Nonresidents of Kentucky, inmates incarcerated for a felony, and employees of the Office of the Governor of Kentucky, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, and Kentucky Interactive, LLC, or blood relative or spouse of such employees or anyone living in same household of such employees, are not eligible to enter the drawing.

How do I enter the drawing?

Entry into the drawing must be completed at tah.ky.gov. Entry requires providing your name, birthdate, email address, phone number, home address and the name and location of the place that provided you with the vaccine. Entry also requires agreement to the official rules of the drawing and agreement to allow the Kentucky Department for Public Health to verify your vaccination information.

Can I still enter if I am a Kentucky resident who was vaccinated in another state?

Yes, however you will need to provide proof of vaccination.

Do I have to be vaccinated before I submit my entry?

To enter, you must have received at least the first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines or the one dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, and provide the location where you received your vaccination.

Will I be eligible for all of the drawings?

Once you enter, your entry will be eligible for all future drawings. All winners will be removed from eligibility for future drawings.

When is the deadline to enter the drawing?

Entry begins Thursday, Aug. 12. Drawing will occur weekly beginning Sept. 9. Ten (10) winners will be selected for each drawing. The final drawing will take place on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021.

How will I know if I have been entered into the drawing?

An entry confirmation will be displayed immediately after successful entry. No other confirmation will be available.

How will I be notified if I win the prize?

If your entry is selected, you will be contacted via the contact information provided on your entry form.

Where and when will the winners be announced?

The winners may be announced publicly by Gov. Andy Beshear on Thursdays during the Team Kentucky Update. To access the announcement, visit the Governor’s official social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Winners will also be posted on the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet Facebook, Twitter, Instagram social media channels and website tah.ky.gov.

How will the Department of Health verify if I have been vaccinated?

By submitting an entry, you agree to allow the Kentucky Department for Public Health to access your vaccination records. You may also be asked to provide your vaccination card for verification.

What are prizes for each drawing?

Can I enter the drawing more than one time?

Only one entry per person will be accepted. All duplicate entries will be removed prior to each drawing.

Is my information private?

The Commonwealth of Kentucky will not sell any information provided on this website. However, anyone who signs up for the drawing must consent to allow the Department for Public Health to verify your vaccination status. If you win, to accept the prize you must consent to the Release and Verification, which authorizes the Commonwealth and its agencies to release the prize winner’s name and likeness.

Can I be disqualified?

Violation of the official rules or inability to verify your vaccination status may disqualify you from winning a prize.

Where will the money for the prizes come from?

The Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet is using a portion of its marketing and promotional budget to fund this public outreach campaign and initiative.
